Carolyn Campbell – Principal

I am Carolyn Campbell and I am excited to serve as the new Principal at Douglas Elementary.  I have been in education for 21 years and taught grades 3 – 8.  I have been in administration for the past three years.  I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Lander University.  I went on to earn a Master’s degree in Gifted Education at Converse College.  Most recently, I completed an Education Specialist’s degree in Administration from Augusta University.

My philosophy of education is that hard work pays off.  I believe that sometimes we have to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and start all over again.  We simply cannot give up reaching for our goals. I believe with the help of the staff, students, and parents of Douglas Elementary, that relationships with parents and the community will be strengthened.  In order to provide the best possible educational experiences for the students at Douglas, I will facilitate many opportunities for everyone to work together.
