DES hosts Secret Santa Appreciation Breakfast

Douglas Elementary School hosted a Secret Santa Appreciation Breakfast for members of the community that sponsored families in need with additional help for the holiday season. This was the fourth year that the community has provided a Secret Santa for students and this year a total of 19 families were served.  DES Counselor Shonda Raiford, who spearheaded the event, stated that “the Sponsors are a blessing and we are thankful for all the kindness and generosity the community has shown to the students and their family.” Mrs. Raiford also shared that many of this year’s sponsors are already looking forward to helping with the Secret Santa project again next year. If you or your organization is interested in participating, please call DES at 803-275-1752.
